Application Submitted!!

The application is in and training starts in January...I am excited to see what blessings we can give the lives of a child or children!! And of course we are excited about the possibility of adding to our family.  It has been a bumpy road finding the right organization to work with and it is amazing to see our faith and perserverence leading us towards God's calling for our lives!

I hold in my hand...

...the application for Foster Care. Although, it would be our intentions to adopt, I won't set a limit on what God may have in store for us.  I went to the first preliminary meeting and now have to submit the application.  There shouldn't be any reason why we could not get licensed. This organization, Eliada Home, is willing to be flexible and work around Judson's job.  Eliada is truly an answer to many heartfelt prayers.  We have been searching for an organization that did not have such rigid training requirements and that could work with us on a flexible basis.  We are excited to FINALLY (hopefully) begin to add to our family!!!

We appreciate your continued prayers as we walk this mildly scary road!!  We know that God has that child or children out there that belong in our family!!

Temporarily On Hold

We did not expect the money to be requested LITERALLY immediately. We haven't even sat in front of someone to talk with them to make sure that we are good candiates and answer some of our concerns.  We have to pay first before we can attend and information seminar and of course it is non-refundable. So we are taking this time to review our finances, pray, and wait upon the Lord. We know it is in His hands and that it is our calling....join us in prayer for answers as to what path to take.

On another note, an unexpected doorway has opened to possibly revisit the idea of adopting through foster care. I will be checking further into that and blogging as soon as I know more!!!

Preliminary Application Approved

We are approved but now have to do the formal application and submit a non-refundable processing fee.  I think this is where the faith aspect is going to start coming into play.  Please join us in prayer as we are doing these steps.

We hope to have this submitted in time to be approved so that we can begin our training which starts October 24th.

Again, thank you for your prayers and good thoughts!

We have began!!

It began along time ago in my heart to adopt, I didn't know when, where, or what child, but God has always had in on my heart to adopt.  That calling has become more clear to Judson and I and we have taken our first of many steps of faith towards adding to our family. We have currently filed a request for adoption from the country of Ethiopia. We are also contacting additional agencies basically to check to see similarities, success rates, etc...  Thank you for joining us on this road that is sure to have many ups and downs, but is sure to end with great joy!
