Praying for you...

With all the devastation in Haiti, my heart just aches for the child or children that are supposed to be here in our home, joining our family forever.  It seems so unfair that children would have to suffer...I can't help but tear up at the thought of a hungry, dehydrated child who deserves the basics of life. My prayers go out to the Haitian nation that you will be restored and families reunited. It stings a bit to know that just over a year and a half ago we attempted to adopt from Haiti only to be turned down because neither one of us was 35 and we had not been married 10 years at that point, so we proceeded onto the idea of Ethiopia, but nothing has ever quite been right in this every lenghtening journey.

Our next leg of the journey is pending; we will begin Foster Care training in February barring any unforeseen circumstances or events...we simply want to be ready, trained, and legally able to take in whomever is meant to be in our care, regardless of them being overseas or right in our town.

It is times like these I wish I could glimpse into the future to know who you (our child/ren) are, what you look like, your name, and how we are supposed to find you, but I know that God has you in HIS hands until the time is right for us to have you in our home. You are already in our hearts and our love for you continues to grow as we seek to find you according to the great desire God has given us for you!!!
